Before you book

Your consultation.

Two ways to start, depending on where you are up to. A short conversation if you are still thinking it over, or the full assessment if you would like to be properly seen.

Complimentary

The fifteen-minute call

15 minutes · No cost · In clinic or by video

  • A short conversation with Mia herself — not a receptionist and not a booking system.
  • Describe what you have noticed and what has prompted you to look into it.
  • An honest indication of whether there is something worth pursuing, and roughly what it would involve.
  • Fees can be discussed openly on the call. Prices for prescription-only treatments cannot be published online, but nothing prevents us talking them through with you directly.
  • A chance to ask anything you would rather not ask for the first time in a treatment chair.
  • Held in clinic or over a video link, whichever suits you better.
  • No clinical assessment is made and no treatment is arranged on this call.

In clinic

The full consultation

Up to 60 minutes · In clinic · Woollahra

  • A full facial assessment — structure, movement, proportion and skin condition.
  • A review of your medical history, current medications, allergies and any previous treatment.
  • Which options may be appropriate, what each involves, the associated risks and possible side effects.
  • The realistic limits of what can be achieved for your face, said plainly.
  • A plan with an expected timeframe, because most treatments here run as a course over weeks or months.
  • The fees for what is proposed, confirmed at the appointment rather than estimated online.
  • Where it is appropriate, treatment can follow on the same visit.

One practitioner

The person who assesses you is the person who treats you.

You are seen by Mia at every stage — assessment, treatment, review and aftercare. Nothing is delegated, and you will not be handed on to someone who was not in the room when the plan was made.

Common questions

Is the fifteen-minute call really free?

Yes. There is no cost and no deposit, and you are under no obligation to book anything afterwards. It exists so that people can ask a question before committing to an appointment.

Can I be treated on the same day as my consultation?

Sometimes, and only where it is appropriate. If Mia is satisfied that you understand what is involved, what the risks are and what the realistic limits are, treatment can often follow the assessment on the same visit. Where more thought is needed — or where the honest answer is that treatment is not indicated — it will not proceed, and you will not be pressed.

Do I have to have treatment?

No. A consultation is an assessment, not a commitment. Being told that nothing needs doing is a legitimate and reasonably common outcome.

Is a deposit required?

A $100 deposit secures a full appointment and is credited against your treatment on the day. The fifteen-minute call requires no deposit. Full details are on the policies page.

What should I bring?

A list of your current medications and supplements, details of any previous cosmetic treatment and roughly when it was performed, and anything you have been told by another practitioner. Come with clean skin and no makeup if you can.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. You are welcome to bring one person with you.

I have had treatment elsewhere — is that a problem?

Not at all, and it is important that Mia knows. What was used, where, and when all affect what is safe and sensible to do next.

Can the fifteen-minute call be done by video?

Yes. It can be held in clinic or over a video link, whichever is easier for you. Say which you would prefer when you book.

Every treatment starts with a conversation.
