PRX-Plus: Skin Rejuvenation Without Needling

For dullness, uneven tone, texture and early laxity — without needling or peeling.

What PRX-Plus is

PRX-Plus is a topical in-clinic skin treatment, most simply described as a peel without the peeling.

A conventional chemical peel works by damaging the surface layer of the skin so that it sheds and is replaced, which produces several days of visible flaking and crusting. PRX-Plus is instead massaged into the surface of the skin, with no needling and no break in the skin barrier at any point. It is formulated to act on the deeper layer of the skin and stimulate a collagen and repair response there while largely sparing the outer layer, so the shedding phase associated with traditional peels is generally avoided.

What it treats

  • Dullness and loss of radiance
  • Uneven tone and pigmentation
  • Rough or uneven texture
  • Early skin laxity
  • The appearance of scarring and stretch marks, on the face and body

Benefits

Across a treatment course, patients commonly report brighter and more luminous skin, softening of pigmentation and uneven tone, smoother texture, and a firmer, healthier looking surface. Because there is no needling and no open skin, PRX-Plus is frequently selected by patients who cannot accommodate visible recovery, and by those whose skin does not tolerate more aggressive resurfacing.

What to expect

Warmth, tightness and mild redness are common during and shortly after application. Temporary sensitivity and mild dryness may follow. Full aftercare instructions are provided at your appointment.

Questions about prx-plus: skin rejuvenation without needling

What is PRX-Plus?

PRX-Plus is a topical treatment containing trichloroacetic acid and hydrogen peroxide, applied to the skin without needles. It's used for concerns such as dullness, uneven texture, enlarged pores and early laxity, and typically does not cause visible peeling.

What areas of the body can be treated with PRX-Plus?

Face, neck, chest, and body.

How long does the treatment take?

About 20-30 minutes.

Is there any downtime or recovery period?

There is minimal to no downtime and you can resume normal activities immediately. Temporary redness, tightness or stinging can occur, recovery varies between individuals, and sun protection is required afterwards.

How many treatments will I need?

A course of four treatments spaced approximately one week apart is commonly recommended, with results building across the course rather than after a single session. Maintenance sessions sustain the result. Mia will confirm your skin type, medical history and current skincare make you a suitable candidate, and will determine the course length. Results vary between individuals and develop over time.

Is there any aftercare I should be aware of?

Apply the recommended home care products as directed and avoid direct sun exposure. Written aftercare instructions are provided.

What if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

PRX-Plus is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please let Mia know if this applies to you.
