Treatment Three of seven

Rejuran

For dullness, crepiness, elasticity and under-eye texture.

What Rejuran is

Rejuran is a polynucleotide skin treatment. Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments derived from salmon, refined for clinical use and administered into the dermis through a series of fine micro-injections.

Unlike volumising treatments, Rejuran does not alter facial contour. It acts on the condition of the skin itself by signalling the skin's own cells to repair, retain moisture and produce collagen. Improvement is therefore generated by the patient's own tissue and develops progressively.

What it treats

  • Dull or tired looking skin that does not respond to topical skincare
  • Fine crepiness, particularly around the eyes and on the neck
  • Loss of elasticity and firmness
  • Uneven texture and enlarged looking pores
  • Thin, fragile skin in the under eye region
  • Overall decline in skin quality with age, sun exposure or lifestyle factors

Benefits

Across a treatment course, patients commonly report smoother and more refined skin texture, improved hydration and a plumper appearance, more even tone, improved elasticity, and a healthier and better rested look to the skin overall. Because the improvement comes from the skin's own repair response, the change is generally described as natural rather than treated.

Treatment areas

Face, the under eye region and the neck. Suitable areas are confirmed at consultation.

What to expect afterwards

Small raised bumps at the injection points are expected and generally settle within a few hours to a day or two. Bruising, redness, swelling and localised tenderness may also occur. Aftercare instructions are provided at your appointment.

Questions about rejuran

What are (PN) polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments derived from salmon. In Rejuran they are injected into the skin, where they are intended to support the skin's own repair processes.

What are the benefits of Rejuran?

Rejuran is used to improve skin hydration, texture and elasticity. Potential outcomes include smoother texture, a reduction in pore size, softening of fine lines and wrinkles, improved skin tone and reduced redness — these are possible results rather than guaranteed ones, and individual responses vary.

Who is suitable for treatment?

Rejuran is commonly considered for concerns such as dullness, enlarged pores, uneven texture, fine lines, dehydrated skin, acne scarring and early skin laxity. It isn't suitable for everyone — including people with an active skin infection, certain medical conditions, or a known allergy to any component — so Mia assesses suitability individually at consultation, taking a full medical history and confirming which areas to treat. Individual responses vary and results cannot be guaranteed.

How many treatments are required?

A course of three to four treatments spaced three to four weeks apart is commonly recommended. Changes continue to develop over the following months as new collagen forms, and periodic maintenance sessions sustain the result. Mia will confirm the number you need once she has assessed your skin.

When will I see results?

Changes develop gradually over the course of treatment. Individual responses vary and results are not guaranteed.

What is the downtime?

Downtime is minimal — redness, swelling and small raised areas at the injection sites are common and usually settle within a few days. Bruising, tenderness and, less commonly, infection can also occur, and Mia will go through all the risks with you before treatment.

What if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Rejuran is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as safety in these groups hasn't been established. Please let Mia know if this applies to you.

Fees

Confirmed at your consultation, based on the areas treated and the number of sessions in your course.
